In a nutshell, I have been in the beauty and wellness industry for over 18 years. As a woman of color, I have been blessed and fortunate with many experiences within this industry.

As I meet new people and travel across and outside the country, it's important to me to share my personal knowledge and highlight my community. I have Native American and Latina roots flowing through me, so community is my everything; it's in my blood.

I've heard the word "slugging" spread lately, and I was curious about it.

Slugging, firstly, is the piling of hydrating ingredients and loading an occlusive petroleum jelly/Vaseline onto the skin, layering the petroleum-based ointment all over your face at night.
