“I feel like everyone should read this. This is kind of how it is for filmmakers where everything has to be political because they’re Black or they’re a Black director instead of jus a director. It’s not fair to writers like yourself because you’re forced to play by the rules that history crafted.”

“Wow! Just wow! That was honestly some of the best writing I’ve read in a whileeeee! I loved the flow of the beginning , where you were innocently enough talking about candy and then it flipped to a matter of social justice in which, (because the Trayvon Martin case was so long ago), it actually surprised me.
